For starters I love Gap Kids. If I could buy Gabriella EVERYTHING from that store I would! The DVF line for Gap Kids/Baby Gap is absolutely adorable. Check out some of the cuteness that will hit stores soon below!

Walmart’s New “Great for you” Icon

Walmart has been working hard on providing people with healthier food.  This past Tuesday Walmart announced their new Great for you” icon to help customers instantly identify food options that are better for them. The new icon will appear on Great Value and Marketside items, as well as fresh and packaged fruits and vegetables, at Walmart stores nationwide this spring.

Obesity is a serious problem in the USA. The obesity rate has gone up so much over the years. First Lady Michelle Obama  has made healthy eating and reducing childhood obesity a priority.Walmart already lowered the price of their fruits and vegetables in early 2011.The new icon to label healthy foods will be another way to try and live a healthier lifestyle.

“Today’s announcement by Walmart is yet another step toward ensuring that our kids are given the chance to grow up healthy,” said First Lady Michelle Obama. “Just over a year ago, Walmart committed to save shoppers a billion dollars in their cost of fruits and vegetables and the fact that Walmart exceeded this number is a real accomplishment and a milestone in our efforts to support families eating better. In addition, the healthy seal will be another tool for parents to identify the best products for their kids. Giving parents the information they need to make healthy choices is a key piece of solving childhood obesity.”

I’m glad Walmart is putting so much effort into providing consumers with better and healthier food options. As a mom I want Gabby to eat things that are good and healthy for her. Showing children healthy eating habits at a young age is important! I love that Walmart is very affordable compared to other places. Eating healthy shouldn’t burn a hole through your wallet!

What do you think of Walmart’s new “Great For You” icon??

Snowy Saturday

It finally snowed today! It hasn’t really felt like winter. It’s been rather mild compared to what we usually get in NYC. I shouldn’t complain though since I despise the cold weather. The snow was nice though. I didn’t mind it much. (Probably since I had the day off and didn’t have to commute to work today!) Gabby and I played in the snow earlier in the day. She loves the snow! Seeing her happy made me really happy.  =)

Gabby had a really awesome day. Later on in the day we headed to her friend Kaylee’s birthday party. Kaylee’s birthday theme was The Smurfs. My friend Katie always goes all out for her daughters birthday. We had a really nice time. Gabby had fun playing with all the kiddos and it was nice for me to catch up with one of my girlfriends.

Kaylee looked really pretty in her custom made Smurf print dress and her red glitter shoes. A little fashionista in the making! Happy 4th Birthday Kaylee!

Beauty And The Beast 3D!

This past Saturday I took Gabby to see BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in 3D! Beauty and the Beast was originally released on November 13, 1991. It’s currently in theatres for a limited time.I absolutely loved the movie as a little girl. It was so nice to re-live a little piece of my own childhood with Gabriella. She enjoyed the movie a lot. The best part was seeing it in 3D! Gabby put on her shades as soon as we sat down.

We also enjoyed watching TANGLED EVER AFTER. The short film played right before the feature presentation. The short film was very good. I kinda wished it was a fill length film since TANGLED was such a great movie!

I love taking Gabby to the movies, especially when it’s a movie I know we are both going to enjoy! =)

Little Lady

Little Princess

Ever have those days where you feel extra loving or proud towards your kids? It’s so nice to feel genuine and true love. Unconditional love. My little lady makes me so happy. I just stared at her in awe today. I can’t believe she’s turning 4 in a few months. The last few years have gone by so fast! EXTREMELY FAST! I look forward to the future but am enjoying the present very much.

I love you Gabby!

Clifford THE BIG RED DOG

A few days ago  Gabby and I headed to the Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College to watch Clifford The Big Red Dog! The musical is a part of the Target Family Fun series. Tickets were very affordable at $10 each. Gabby and I had such an amazing time!

Clifford The Big Red Dog was first published in 1963. Norman Bridwells’s beloved character is loved by many people all over the world. I myself grew up reading Clifford books.Asides from the books, there is also an animated series on PBS,DVD products, online activities, interactive products and a museum exhibit tour.

Clifford The Big Red Dog musical was so much fun to watch. One of my favorite parts of the show had to be the interaction with the audience. Thats one thing you don’t see too often. It was nice to hear all the kids shout all their responses back to Clifford and the rest of the cast. The actors did  a great job on bringing Clifford,Emily Elizabeth and the rest of the cast to life. The set was nice to look at and the songs were catchy and fun to listen to!

All in all it was a lovely show. Gabby won’t stop asking me for a big red dog now!
